Harmonic Resolution Systems

Michael Latvis founded HRS in Buffalo, New York in 1999, after a career spent solving vibration problems that had nothing to do with music. Commercial aircraft. Military aircraft. Industrial equipment. Missile defense systems. He holds six patents in shock and vibration isolation, and he brought that same engineering to the considerably less forgiving problem of a turntable sitting on a shelf.

That background shows up in how the company works. Designs get verified with FEA analysis before anything reaches production, so stress, displacement, and frequency response are understood rather than guessed at. The composite laminates and damping materials are developed in house by HRS chemists and engineers rather than bought off a shelf, which is the part most of the field cannot match. Then every design goes in front of a listening panel, because the measurements alone will not tell you whether music sounds right.

The finished parts are machined, hand finished, and individually inspected in Buffalo.

What you will find here are the HRS isolation bases and footers, which for most systems is the right place to start. A base goes under a single component and does its work without you rebuilding the whole rack first. The four series run from the E1X up to the M3X2, and every base ships with a set of four footers matched to what is sitting on it.

Which base and which footers depends on the component, the rack, and the room. Tell us what you are working with and we will spec it with you before anything gets ordered. These are built to order, so it is worth the conversation.
