Ø Audio Verdande

Verdande is Ø Audio's flagship loudspeaker and a true two-way reference design developed to combine musical engagement with monumental dynamics. Building upon the foundation established by the award-winning Icon platform, Verdande expands the concept into a larger format with a completely new level of performance. Designed for real-world listening environments, it brings together proprietary drivers, advanced horn technology, and a meticulously engineered enclosure to create a loudspeaker capable of delivering scale, precision, and natural tonal balance.

At the heart of the design is Ø Audio's Quad Vertex SoundField constant-directivity horn system paired with a proprietary 15-inch ultra-linear long-stroke extended-range woofer. Together, these components are engineered to provide even dispersion, low coloration, controlled directivity, and exceptionally low distortion.

Quad Vertex SoundField Technology
Verdande was developed to showcase Ø Audio's Quad Vertex SoundField Technology. This horn profile was created to provide very even dispersion and low coloration while maintaining a consistent sound character throughout the horn's working area.

High Frequency System
Coupled to the Quad Vertex SoundField horn, the high-frequency driver is designed to deliver dynamic treble response with extremely low distortion while avoiding the typical characteristics often associated with horn loudspeakers. The result is detailed and consistent performance across a wide range of listening levels.

15-Inch Woofer
The proprietary 38 cm (15") woofer was developed specifically for Verdande. It features generous linear stroke capability and a low-distortion profile while maintaining the midrange performance required for seamless integration with the horn system.

Crossover Network
The crossover was developed using modern measurement and simulation tools combined with extensive listening evaluations. It is designed to optimize driver integration and overall system performance while preserving the speaker's intended character.
