Phasemation EA-1500 Tube Phono Amplifier
DESCRIPTION
The EA-1500 packages much of the flagship EA-2000's technology, its LCR equalization topology, shielded/floating transformer construction into a more accessible two-chassis format that splits amplifier and power supply into separate full-size enclosures. It's Phasemation's first phono amplifier to support optical cartridges alongside standard MC/MM, with a dedicated power transformer and XLR input for optical cartridge output.
The MC step-up transformer, based on the EA-1200 design, uses newly re-evaluated windings in PC-TripleC wire. A non-feedback vacuum tube topology delivers a wide dynamic range and fast transient response, and both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs/outputs can run simultaneously. Winner of the Stereo Sound Grand Prix 2025 and Analog Grand Prix Gold Award 2026.
