Pre-Owned Franco Serblin Accordo 'Goldberg' Bookshelf Speakers with Stands

The Accordo Goldberg is Franco Serblin's final word on the compact stand-mount loudspeaker, and arguably his masterpiece. Conceived as a larger, more ambitious sibling to the original Accordo, the Goldberg takes Serblin's signature arch-shaped, mirror-imaged cabinet design and scales it up to accommodate a 180mm microsphere-cone woofer with an aluminum dust cap, paired with the same 29mm silk-dome tweeter designed by the legendary Ragnar Lian. The crossover, a minimalist, low-order, phase-coherent network built from premium selected parts, was relocated from the dedicated stand (as in the original Accordo) directly into the speaker cabinet itself, a change reviewers credit with tightening integration and deepening the soundstage. Hand-crafted in Vicenza, Italy from solid wood decoupled with aluminum-magnesium components for resonance control, each speaker is factory-built as one half of a mirror-imaged pair, designed to be used and sold together. Critics have been effusive: Hi-Fi News called it "the best yet to come out of the fertile brain of the inspirational if, sadly, late designer," while The Absolute Sound described it as "not just Serblin's epitaph" but "a fitting celebration of a passion pursued and a life well lived." This pair comes complete with the dedicated factory stands and original boxes.
