With gold pins for corrosion resistance and improved conduction, this SELECT EL84 is a substantial upgrade over standard new production and New Old Stock tubes, with fewer than 5 % of production meeting SELECT criteria. 

Originally introduced in 1953, the EL84 power pentode tube found widespread use in classic audio and guitar amplification circuits. The SELECT EL84 delivers a more detailed and layered sound, offering a broader soundstage and immersive listening experience with full, controlled bass, warm, refined midrange, and expansive dynamics.
